All great fighters have one thing in common. A equally good coach. Having a good coach can be the trump card for fighters. We take a look at a few trainers who not only coached a few great fighters but left a lasting legacy in the sport

Cus D'Amato 

Legendary trainer D'Amato is credited with inventing the peek-a-boo style of boxing. He also trained world champions like Mike Tyson and Floyd Patterson, while also helping out in philanthropic activities. 

Eddie Futch 

Futch trained not one but 21 world champions including Ken Norton, Joe Frazier, Virgil Hill among others. He also trained Freddie Roach who himself went onto become a great trainer. 

Freddie Roach 

Roach did not enjoy a very successful career as a boxer, his resume as a trainer however is unparalleled.  Manny Pacquiao, Mike Tyson, Virgil Hill are some of the fighters he has trained. 

Angelo Dundee 

Dundee is arguably the greatest trainer of all time. George Foreman, Sugar Ray Leonard Muhammad Ali have all achieved unparalleled success under him. 

Emmanuel Stewart 

The 'Kronk' gym head coach Stewart coached the likes of Lennox Lewis, Wladimi Klitschko, Thomas Hearns and Tony Tucker among others. His nephew currently coaches the 'Gypsy King' Tyson Fury under his uncle's philosophy.
