Demetrius Andrade will be facing David Benavidez at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas on November 25. Ahead of the fight, he has blasted off at Canelo Alvarez, his WBC mandatory challenger.

At a press conference, a reporter asked Andrade if his criticisms of Canelo Alvarez stemmed from their previous meeting.

To this, Andrade replied, "Canelo…..Canelo, yeah he talking sh*t….payday, this I’am a horrible fighter, then you know people… people like, um, send me things about like him somebody asked him a question about, oh, what about David Benavidez-Demetrius Andrade then he goes 50-50 fight so how am I horrible fighter and then fighting David Ben is a 50-50 fight?"

"how am I a horrible fighter?"

He continued, "But needless to say, at the end of the day, it's like, you know, Canelo's a great fighter, and he is making his mark. He can do it how he wants, and he's doing a good job at it. At the end of the day, I respect that, but him disrespecting me in the way he did, it was just like, "F*** you."

Demetrius Andrade, during the presser, acknowledged Canelo Alvarez's fighting skills and work ethic but found Canelo's treatment of him disrespectful.

He made it clear he wasn't dependent on a fight with Canelo and suggested that fans and journalists should encourage Canelo to face the winner or loser on November 25, as both he and Benavidez are top-ranked fighters ready for any challenge in their division.
