The rivalry between Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney is stronger than ever. They have also been engaging in a war of words over Twitter. There also has been some speculation about ongoing negotiations between the two.
Shakur Stevenson recently received an offer from Devin Haney, which included a 25% share in the deal for a potential fight. However, Stevenson appeared unenthusiastic about the proposal.
As per Haney, "Get off my’s. I don’t think I’m the A side; I just know my worth, and 25% ain’t it, and I didn’t turn the fight down, either. [That] was supposedly [be] the first offer [I] haven’t heard nun else since."
Devin Haney responded to Rick Glaser, a boxing matchmaker from New York, who claimed that the offer talks between Haney and Stevenson held little significance.
Some five hours later, Shakur Stevenson told Haney, "25% is less [than] I made in my last 3 fights. Y’all people [are] crazy, lol."
Shakur then tweeted, "Send a real offer. Let’s get active, champ.” To this, Haney replied, "Sign the contract."
