Silva faced Daniel Cormier on July 9, 2016, at UFC 200. Silva tried his best to take over Cormier with his moves, but Cormier took the charge and defeated Silva via a unanimous decision.
Silva and Chris Weidman had another match in 2013 after Silva's defeat in July. The young fighter Weidman dominated the entire fight and Silva suffered a fracture in his fibula and tibia.
Silva's bout against the young and vibrant 29-year-old Israel Adesanya ended up with a loss. He showed his best moves, reflexes, and techniques but Adesanya's flawless athleticism and fighting frames made him win the fight via unanimous decision.
