Jermell Charlo and Canelo Alvarez are set to face each other on September 30th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Ahead of the fight, a previous competitor, Erickson Lubin has predicted Jermell Charlo's fate against Canelo Alvarez. Here's what he has to says!
Erickson Lubin, a former contender for the WBC super welterweight title in 2017, has shared his thoughts on the much-anticipated fight. During an interview with Fight Hub TV, Lubin recently commended Jermell Charlo for his high boxing IQ.
As per Lubin, "I feel like people sleep on Charlo’s IQ. He has a real high IQ." Lubin expressed confidence that if Canelo Alvarez performs similarly to his past fights, Jermell Charlo has a good chance of securing a victory.
Lubin stated, "If Canelo shows up like Canelo and he has great upper body movement, great power, great IQ, I feel like he’ll dominate the fight if he shows up as that person. But if he shows up anything less than that, then Charlo has a chance."
Lubin praised Charlo's unwavering focus and determination in the interview, highlighting how he fights relentlessly until the last bell.
Lubin further mentioned that Charlo's strategic versatility and high boxing IQ enable him to create opportunities for knockouts in fights. He cited the example of Charlo's rematch with Brian Carlos Castano, where Charlo showcased this adaptability and secured a knockout victory.
