The rivalry between Jake Paul, the former YouTuber now turned boxer, and Dana White, the president of UFC, has taken a new turn as Paul shares his thoughts on the highly debated future bout between tech giants Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg.
Musk recently criticized Zuckerberg's attempt of launching a Twitter/X-like application, Threads, and challenged him to a cage fight. Zuckerberg, too, replied with a "send me location." This potential match has been trending all over the internet - Dana White has also been promoted to the idea of hosting the fight within the UFC.
Despite his usual disdain for "gimmick fights," the 53-year-old is now intrigued by the idea of having billionaires Musk and Zuckerberg face off. However, Jake 'The Problem Child' Paul countered with a $100 million offer and called out White's hypocrisy.
In a podcast episode, Paul talked about the Musk vs. Zuckerberg discussion, proposing a remarkable $100 million charity offer. He put a condition that the fight must occur in the Middle East to generate attention and secure funds for charitable purposes.
As per Jake Paul, "I think it very well could happen, and I have a $100 million offer for Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg to take this fight to the Middle East, to promote it and put it on for charity. We can guarantee that money, a hundred million dollars, to charity. We want to get involved and help make this a reality."
Pointing to White's past stance against "gimmick fights," Paul highlighted White's seeming inconsistency in eagerly considering the Musk vs. Zuckerberg match for the UFC. Paul found White's newfound enthusiasm ironic, raising doubts about his credibility.
Paul said, "You know, it’s funny because Dana White is sitting there talking about, “I don’t do gimmick fights, I only do real fights, the best of the best,” talking about me. And then all of a sudden, he wants to jump on this train so badly and make it go into the UFC. To me, that’s just ironic."
