The match between Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III was an event to remember. During the sixth round, the referee declared the fight a no-contest due to persistent clinching and verbal exchanges. However, Gotti III disregarded the decision and instigated a post-fight brawl by charging at Mayweather. And now, news has surfaced that there will be a rematch between the two.
In an interview, Gotti III hinted at the possibility of a rematch with Mayweather Jr. He provided a justification for why it would be an opportune time for such a rematch to take place.
Gotti III made it clear that he holds no animosity towards Mayweather Jr., retracting his previous statement of considering him an "enemy for life."
In the interview with Ariel Helwani, Gotti revealed that he is in talks with Mayweather for a potential rematch.
As per Gotti, "We're in talks right now to do something, so we'll see where it goes. From what I understand, after the fight, it was the most-Googled thing in the whole world. So, Floyd's a businessman, Floyd wants to capitalize on that, and he wants to make money. If they want to do it again, I'm here."
John Gotti III has indicated that a rematch with Floyd Mayweather is being considered for October.
