Mike Tyson has made a name for himself in the world through his boxing skills. In 1986, when he was only 20, he achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the youngest heavyweight champion ever, claiming the title. However, there was a time when he couldn't afford lawyers, and had to lose a whopping $55 million.
In his podcast, Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Tyson shared this incident when he was betrayed.
Apparently, Tyson got caught up with a case where an individual played him for 80 million, "this guy played me for what-like 80 million?”
As per Tyson, he had to reach a settlement, buckling under the weight of costly legal battles, agreeing to a reduced amount of $25 million.
Additionally, he explained that his intention for settling was to avoid paying excessive amounts to his lawyers and to preserve the money he had earned.
He described that time in his life as "that stage in your career when you trust somebody, and they play you dirty.”
