Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou had their long-awaited face-off during the kickoff press conference held in Outernet London. Ngannou engaged with the media on several topics, including the recent fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois. Fury, known as 'The Gypsy King,' did not hold back and openly criticized the Ukrainian champion.
Had they been able to reach an agreement during negotiations, a Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk match could have taken place earlier this year. Instead, Usyk pursued a bout with mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois in Poland on August 26, which he won via knockout.
However, the fight became infamous due to a controversy surrounding a low blow. When asked about Usyk's victory, Tyson Fury criticized the unified heavyweight champion calling him a "sh*t bag" and accusing him of cheating.
He stated that everyone expects Usyk to be God-fearing, “…rolling up and down with a low blow, and he hit him on the beltline. Come on, don’t be a little sh*t house coward, be a man…stand up to it."
When questioned about the legality of the blow, Fury, drawing on his extensive experience as a world heavyweight champion for nearly fifteen years, asserted that it was not a low blow and that Usyk lost to Dubois.
He said, “..what do I know that wasn’t a low blow? I know that, and one little sh*t house p**sy knows that too; he lost man. He got beat by Dubois, man…”
