Vasyl Lomachenko is preparing for his match against Richard Commey on Saturday 11th December. Ahead of his fight, let's take a look at Lomachenko's intense training routine.
Lomachenko's training routine is divided into four parts. He does cardio in the morning, strength and conditioning during midday, beach workout in the afternoon, and boxing training after 6 pm.
Lomachenko prefers doing cardio outside the gym. He does one hour running in the morning also incorporates swimming, playing tennis, and basketball in his cardio session.
Lomachenko will do a lot of shadow boxing and footwork drills to improve his speed, reactive strength, coordination, and balance.
Lomachenko destroys the punching bag with heavy shots during his boxing training. He also does a lot of mitts workouts and sparring to hone his boxing skills.
To improve his focus and prepare mentally for his fights, the Ukrainian does cognitive drills such as reaction lights, number grids, puzzles, solving maths problems, and much more.
