Mike Tyson recently hosted Prince Jackson, Michael Jackson's son, on his podcast. They talked about Michael's music legacy and his philanthropic work, including the 'Heal' foundation. Prince carries on this charitable tradition with 'Heal LA,' aiming to support marginalized communities and address wealth inequality through nonprofit initiatives.
During the conversation, DJ Whoo Kid and 'Iron Mike' engaged in a discussion about the state of America.
DJ Whoo Kid and Prince Jackson then delved into the striking disparity between opulent $10 million homes and Section 8 housing projects, underscoring the considerable wealth gap.
It was during this discussion that Prince outlined how his nonprofit organization is actively working to bridge this wealth gap.
As per Prince, "We’re in this state specifically, we’re the, I think, fifth or sixth largest economy. And you have $10 million houses right next to, like, Section 8 projects, you know what I mean? And it’s—I’m too young to tell you. I know what the issue is, but there is a gap that needs to be addressed. So that’s what we’re just hoping to fill the gap and help people as best as we can."
Prince Jackson underscores the vital role of charitable efforts and nonprofit organizations in tackling this inequality. He points out that despite the city's economic prosperity, ranking as one of the largest economies, it grapples with pressing social issues that require immediate attention.
