Now, billionaire Lawrence Stroll came up with a reply, possibly rubbing salt into Hamilton’s wounds.
As per Daily Mail, the British driver is seeking a massive $320 million deal with Mercedes. Moreover, he is also demanding a multi-year deal, which will see him become a Mercedes ambassador in the future.
Hamilton seemingly took a dig at Lawrence Stroll’s son Lance Stroll being in F1 due to his father’s wealthy fortunes. The 7-time World Champion said, “Growing up in a normal working-class family, there is no way I could be here – the guys you are fighting against have that much more money.”
“It’s a lot less expensive to play golf or play tennis but F1 it’s an expensive sport, there’s machinery… You have to be a very wealthy individual or a very large corporation to be able to afford to be in Formula One… I don’t know what Lewis’s comment was referring to but this is a sport that is very capital intensive.
