F1 is going into full entertainment mode

After the success of ‘Drive to Survive’, many F1 projects are seeing the green light. As per reports, Star Wars actress Felicity Jones will lead in F1 based drama-series. Then Apple TV is producing a mega movie starring Brad Pitt, where Lewis Hamilton is working as one of the executive producers. Before all this, there was one movie called ‘Rush’ which caught the attention of many F1 fans.

The story of ‘Rush’

‘Rush’ was a biopic of former British driver James Hunt. It showcased the rivalry between Hunt and Niki Lauda during the famous 1976 season. Hemsworth played the role of Hunt and Daniel Bruhl played the role of Lauda in that movie. Fans and critics praised Hemsworth's performance in that movie, as the film became a massive hit among F1 fans.

Hunt’s son is not a big fan of Hemsworth’s portrayal

In the recent episode of the 'Pitstop' podcast, Hunt’s son, Freddie talked about the portrayal of his father by Hemsworth, saying, “My dad was very innocent, humble guy. Very cheeky as well. But he was innocent and humble so he could get away with it. Whereas [Chris] Hemsworth was just c*cky and arrogant and that just wasn’t my father’s character at all… I think unless he was directed deliberately to play it that way, he did an extremely poor job.”
