Daniel Ricciardo Gets Rid of his $270,000 McLaren Beast

One of the most loved drivers in F1, Daniel Ricciardo, ended his relationship with the McLaren team last year. Now, he’s back with Red Bull as their reserve driver for the 2023 season. Meanwhile, he is trying to get rid of some old McLaren memory, as he is getting ready to sell his $270,000 McLaren Beast.

Ricciardo’s big money departure from McLaren 


Ricciardo had agreed to part ways with McLaren after the 2022 season, as he was having a terrible time. As part of the departure deal, the Aussie driver received a staggering payment of $18 million from McLaren. 



Ricciardo talked about his mental health 


The Aussie talked about his deteriorating mental health while he was with McLaren. He said, “I don’t want to like, go too far and be like, ‘Yeah, I was depressed’ or whatever but I certainly wasn’t always eating as much. I think I just wasn’t feeling right…I was honestly just not like my happy self, not my normal self.” 

Ricciardo is getting rid of another McLaren memory 


As per reports, Ricciardo is selling his Lantana Purple McLaren 720S Spider; he set the base price at $270,000. The car has been driven for around 6,749 miles and also has some carbon fiber upgrades. However, it’s not clear whether he received the car as a gift from McLaren or bought it for himself.
