The F1 docuseries, ‘Drive to Survive’ on Netflix, made plenty of noise around the world; it increased the popularity of F1 as well. The new series is called ‘One’

‘One’ will be a scripted TV series, unlike the Netflix series, which was pretty much unscripted. Isabelle Stewart, Head of Original Content, F1, recently said, “One has been driven by our collective passions to tell the story of the characters who inhabit this unique world and what happens behind the scenes of the great and complex sport, while capturing the massive scope and scale of F1.”

The show roped in many talented individuals

Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, who were Oscar-nominated for their adapted screenplay for ‘Children of Men’, will also work as writers on the show. Notably, the show will showcase the life of a fictitious family-owned team and the drama surrounding them.

Star Wars actor joins the show

Meanwhile, Star Wars actress, who was also nominated for an Oscar for ‘The Theory of Everything’, Felicity Jones joined the show as an actor and producer. Speaking about Jones, Stewart said, “We’re grateful that Felicity has graced us with her enduring commitment and talent and we are thrilled to collaborate with the team at Formula 1.”
