Fernando Alonso is having a stellar season with the Aston Martin F1 team. He is single-handedly keeping Aston Martin in the constructor’s race. On the other hand, Max Verstappen looks unbeatable as he could win the Championship once again. His teammate, Sergio Perez, however, is slowly falling behind. In a recent interview, Alonso talked about catching Perez, as Verstappen had a weird reaction.
After the Canadian GP, Verstappen is sitting comfortably at the top. Although Perez is in 2nd place with 126 points, Alonso is right behind him with 117 points. In the recently concluded Canadian GP, Perez managed to get P6; whereas, Alonso got P2.

In a recent interview, Perez was asked, “Fernando, you are only 9 points behind Sergio Perez in the championship now, do you think you can beat him?” In reply, Alonso simply said, “Yes.” Sitting beside Alonso, Max had a smile on his face. Later, he was asked about Alonso’s comments, and he said, “I think we’re doing a lot of things well.”
