Charles Leclerc has been Ferrari’s golden boy ever since his debut for the team back in 2019. Despite being a newcomer in F1, he beat his teammate and 4-time world champion, Sebastian Vettel, two years in a row. However, for the 2021 season, Carlos Sainz made his switch to Ferrari, and went on to get the better of the Monegasque in the driver’s standings that year.
Even though the two drivers are extremely competitive, they share an excellent working relationship. Speaking about the season so far, as F1 enters its summer break, Leclerc listed the biggest advantages of having Sainz as a teammate.
He said, “The good thing with Carlos is that we both also have the same feeling in the car. We need all of the same things in the car… which also gives me the confidence that we will get better”
