Ricciardo: 'Formula 1 must be more flexible with start times'

The Japanese Grand Prix did start at the original start time, but was stopped after three laps due to the worsening visibility due to the rain. Only after a two-hour break did the race continue, but because the clock had been ticking since the start of the race, there were only forty minutes left to make it another race.

What Ricciardo believes the solution is?

Daniel Ricciardo believes that Formula 1 should look at opportunities to be more flexible with the start times of races. This is to prevent races from having to be shortened unnecessarily long due to rainfall.

What Ricciardo has to say about this?

Ricciardo, therefore, has a suggestion for Formula 1, to prevent races from having to be shortened by rain. "Even if you take the start time forward an hour, you might win something like twenty laps at the start and you can still make it a race," said the Australian.
