Hamilton had a tremendous result at the Spanish GP, as he finished 2nd. Notably, this was his second podium finish of the season after the Australian GP. Meanwhile, he had an interview with none other than his former teammate and fierce rival, Nico Rosberg, after the race. Unfortunately, Rosberg had an embarrassing moment, after Hamilton gave him a cold response.
After some disappointing results, Mercedes made some upgrades to keep pace with Red Bull and Aston Martin. It seems like the upgrades have finally worked as Hamilton and Russell finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Although they had a poor qualifying session, they turned it around in the race.
Rosberg and Hamilton had plenty of battles on track despite being teammates. Incidentally, Hamilton and Rosberg had one infamous crash at Spanish GP back in 2016, which still haunts many fans. It seems like, Hamilton still remembers their rivalry, as Rosberg asked him after the race, “Good to see you.” In reply, Lewis simply said, “Thank you,” and moved on.
