Lewis Hamilton to leave Mercedes ?

The rumours surface after Lewis Hamilton has so far failed to realise his dream at Mercedes, and it appears that he is still a long way from it. Lewis, who is currently 38 years old, intended to leave the sport after the ninth championship. The driver is reportedly unhappy after failing to do so once in 2021 and dealing with the problems caused by the W13 and W14 over the previous two seasons. The "12 months" statement made by his supervisor would not have made him feel any better. He is currently associated with Ferrari since his contract is slated to expire this year.

Hamilton's Move to Ferrari

For a very long time, there have been rumours that Hamilton will join Ferrari. It is closer than ever right now. Leo Turrini, a Ferrari insider, was described by F1Maximaal from Quotidiano as describing the action as follows: “Hamilton is very close to Mercedes. He wanted the eighth title and then quit. What would he do if he realized he couldn’t win with the Silver Arrows anymore? I do not know. On the other hand, I know that Hamilton has never been close to a switch to the red team. Montezemolo thought about it when he was disappointed in Alonso, but Lewis had already settled at Mercedes.”

Effects of the potential move from Lewis Hamilton

One of the two biggest topics in Formula 1 right now is Lewis Hamilton's potential switch to the red garage. The first is undoubtedly the rumour that he will announce his retirement at the conclusion of this season. However, if Ferrari made a change, it would have a significant impact on the entire paddock, starting with Charles Leclerc joining the Silver Arrows.
