Donald Trump has been a vocal supporter of the Saudi-backed LIV Golf. The lucrative Tour hosted its third event at Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster. Trump’s course in Miami which is famously known as Blue Monster, will host the final LIV Golf event of the year.
Forbes reporter Zach Everson, reported earlier this year in June, that an Instagram photo showed the presidential logo clearly placed in the fairway at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The sign on the course read, “45th President 45 yards from hole on 18.”
According to 18 U.S. Code § 713, it is illegal to use the Presidential seal for advertising or promoting a different entity. If found guilty, one may find himself/herself fined or behind prison bars for six months or sometimes even both. However, the Trump Organization are likely aware of their breaching of law.
A podcast named “Trump, Inc”, found a batch of markers similar to the ones that appeared at Trump properties back in 2018. The Trump Organization promptly removed the markers after attributing the incident to ardent supporters.
“The plaques were presented to the club by a small group of members, who are incredible fans of the president, in honor of Presidents’ Day weekend.” The plaques around the city had also been removed temporarily according to the organization.
