Dustin Johnson was one of the top golfers on the PGA Tour. He has 24 PGA Tour wins and two major championships in his career. Moreover, DJ was at the top of the OWGR for quite a while. He even started to create a legacy on the PGA Tour. But his decision to quit the PGA Tour and join LIV Golf annihilated his legacy and OWGR.
According to the latest OWGR, Dustin Johnson is ranked 21st. Moreover, this is the first time Johnson has been outside the top 20 since 2015. This shows the consistency with which he has been competing over the years.
DJ has spent 135 weeks as the world’s No. 1 golfer in his career. He is behind Greg Norman (331 weeks) and Tiger Woods (683 weeks) on this list. Moreover, DJ has primarily remained in the top 3 or 5 since his victory at Augusta National in 2020.
With no OWGR points since May 2022, Dustin slipped out of the top 10 first and then the top 20. Yes, Johnson has performed well in all the LIV Golf Invitational Series. But unfortunately, there are no OWGR points available in the field for the Greg Norman-led league.
Bryson DeChambeau and Louis Oosthuizen have had a massive drop in their rankings so far. DeChambeau is down to 33rd from the fifth spot, while the South African is 29th from the 10th. Brooks Koepka is down to 25th from 16th place, while Abraham Ancer slipped to 23rd from 17th.
