Norman and Laura married back in 1981, long before his professional golf career reached immense heights. Nonetheless, after a $105 million settlement in 2006, the couple finally settled for divorce.
‘The Shark’ decided to tie the knot again in 2008, with Former Tennis number one, Chris Evert. However, before the marriage of the former World number ones, Norman’s ex-wife Laura revealed how ‘aggressive’ Evert had been chasing the golfer.
During her interview with Australia’s Telegraph newspaper, Laura had no filter while talking about he ex-husband’s then-lover. She said, “I really don’t have a lot of respect for her as a woman – she is not a great person. I never would have thought anyone would be so aggressive in pursuing him in front of me, like I didn’t exist.”
“I never expected it would go to divorce,” she said. “I was with Greg almost 28 years, and I expected to grow old with him”. Laura Andrassy then continued firing shots at Chris Evert as she said, “I was getting to know her because she was my husband’s best friend’s wife”.
Evert was previously married to ski champion, Andy Mill, who was Norman’s close friend. Moreover, the two couples spent many vacations together before calling it quits. And then Norman began a relationship with Evert.
A year after the interview, the LIV Golf CEO married the tennis Legend. However, unlike their previous marriages which lasted for decades, this wedding ended after 15 months. Perhaps, Laura may have been happy to know that.
Following his divorce from the Tennis legend, Greg Norman married interior designer Kirsten Kutner in 2010. The couple has been happily married ever since. However, Evert has remained unmarried after her separation from LIV Golf Commissioner.
