Scottie Scheffler's high school sweetheart-turned-wife, Meredith Scudder, was right there to celebrate her husband's Masters win. Here's an adorable photo of the couple.
Scottie explained what the pressure of the possibility of winning a major did to him on Sunday morning. “I was so stressed out. Uh… I didn’t know what to do . I cried like a baby,” Scheffler said.
“She told me, ‘Who are you to say that you are not ready?'” Scheffler said to the press. “And so what we talked about is… you know, that God is in control,” he added. “And that the Lord is leading me.” He further added, “And if today is my time, then… then it’s my time.”
Scheffler won the 2022 Masters with a 3-shot lead over Rory McIlroy. He scored a 1-under 71 in the final round to finish the tournament.
When Scottie Scheffler took part in the 2022 Phoenix Open, he was winless on the tour. However, 56 days later, he is the world no. 1 and a 4-time PGA Tour winner.
