The World Golf Hall of Fame ceremony is finally over. The ceremony witnessed the induction of four professionals into the hall of fame. Among the inductees, probably the prominent name was Tiger Woods.
Eldrick Woods was formally inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame on March 9th at the PGA Tour headquarters. Woods was introduced into the Hall of Fame by his daughter Sam in a very emotional introductory speech.
Nicklaus wrote, “Last night’s World Golf Hall of Fame ceremony was a night to celebrate the great game of golf but also a handful of individuals who have shape the game I love. The night gave us a chance to reflect on their accomplishments, and it also gave us a glimpse into their past."
The 46-year-old professional won the 1997 Masters at Augusta. He won the event with an overall score of 18-under-par and a prize money worth $486,000. Woods carded a final round of 69, three under par on his route to victory. This was his first green jacket and the start of many more to come.
