‘Little Respect’: LIV Golf Lawyers Publicly Thrash Tiger Woods for Not Meeting Their Legal Requirement

No day passes for golf fans without talking about golf legend Tiger Woods. The 15-time major champion has been involved in numerous controversies throughout his life. And in recent news, Woods is being accused of purposely avoiding attempts to be served notice of a subpoena.

Tiger Woods stuck in a new controversy in an antitrust case.

Tiger Woods, who has been surrounded by squabbles throughout his career, is currently being scrutinized by fans yet again. The golf star is being accused of having missed several attempts to serve notice of a subpoena.

LIV Golf defector Patrick Reed’s attorney Larry Klayman has filed an antitrust case against the PGA Tour.

According to reports, PGA Tour’s lawyers even tried to get the lawsuit dismissed but failed. The judge denied the dismissal of the lawsuit last month and the case has been going on for quite some time now.

Other Players involved in the lawsuit.

Larry Klayman has also included Rory McIlroy and Davis Love III as reported “co-conspirators” in his suit. Moreover, he also talked about Tiger Woods and said he had “little respect” toward the lawsuit.

What did the Lawsuit state?

“Mr. Woods, like all parties and deponents in this case, will be treated with respect. However, as of today, it would appear that Mr. Woods has little respect for our legal right to depose him,” his suit said.

Klayman also stated that Tiger Woods is not going to be treated any differently than other American citizens.

Things went overboard when Klayman also included Tiger Woods’ past in his suit. “Given his prior experiences with the law, this is unfortunate…the process server has attempted five different times and Mr. Woods has not made himself available to accept service or have someone else accept service on his behalf.” It is surprising for someone to target Tiger Woods specifically among all responsible to answer for the PGA Tour.
