“Even when I started receiving all this attention, that’s all it’s really ever been,” she added. “It’s never been about fame.” Spiranac shared her thoughts on being recognized by millions online through a Golf Digest article.
“It all just kind of happened,” Spiranac stated in her article. While she appreciated the opportunities she got because of social media, the golfer didn’t consider it her passion at the time.
“Golf is an expensive sport,” the aspiring golfer had written in her article. “And this (social media) is my way of helping to pay for it.” Furthermore, she added, “But the goal is still to make it as a player.”
Spiranac started posting pictures and shot tricks videos on social media when she was in college. To her utmost surprise, the videos went viral.
Recently, Maxim magazine named her the Sexiest Woman Alive in 2022. Notably, Spiranac is the first athlete to take the no. 1 spot on the magazine’s top 100 list.
