Tiger Woods won the 2008 U.S. Open with a fractured left leg, and there have been a lot more instances where Woods has played through the pain. Here's some info about his career injury timeline.


Two benign tumors and scar tissue are removed from his left knee. This was in the exact same month when he had his 20th birthday.

Woods had a surgery to remove fluid inside and outside the ACL and to remove benign cysts from his left knee. Because of this he even missed a few weeks of competition.

Woods had ruptured the ACL in his left knee while running on a golf course at the British Open.

This time he had surgery on his left knee to repair cartilage damage.

In May 2010, Woods had a bulging disk in his back. Later he said the problem was in his neck and that he had tingling sensations in his right side. It turned out to be an inflamed facet joint in his neck.
