With all the hype that surrounded the entry of the father-son duo, it looks like both are far from their ideal conditions for the PNC Championship. Charlie Woods’ concerns seem to be worrying.
He looked in a healthy condition while landing in Orlando. However, he did tape his ankle heavily during practice rounds, which gave a slight indication of what was to follow. While Charlie Woods managed to get on the course for the championship, he looked slightly uncomfortable.
Having appeared in the media glare for the event, it looks highly unlikely that the father-son duo will quit. Both have struggled with injuries, but the pair will be keen to go one up at the event where they finished runners-up last year.
Though Tiger Woods made his comeback in the seventh edition of ‘The Match’ last week, his movement was a cause of concern. The 46-year-old had withdrawn at the last second from the Hero World Challenge in the early days of December. By his own admission, Woods can no longer walk like he used to. The 15-time major championship winner suffered career-threatening injuries in a single-car rollover crash in February last year. His sufferings have largely curtailed his golf career.
