The lefty who is a six-time major championship winner and also a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame is known for his fine class around the greens. But on the contrary Tiger Woods feels that the 45-time PGA Tour winner does not work hard. Moreover, Alan Shipnuck revealed more about the same and much more in Tigers’ new HBO documentary.
Alan said, “Tiger knew that Phil was the most naturally gifted player ever to hold a golf club. But Tiger looked at him with disdain. He couldn’t fathom having that much ability but not putting in the time to be great.”
According to Shipnuck, Woods’ felt disdain towards Phils largely because of his physical build. He added, “Phil had about 20 extra pounds, and Tiger was looking more and more like Mr. Universe.”
Back in 2018, Tiger and Phil played a friendly exhibition match at the Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas. Finally, Phil emerged as the winner by sinking a five-foot putt for birdie. As a result, he won a whopping sum of $9 million. The match was extended to four playoff holes. Looks like Phil had the last laugh.
