Carlos Correa

Correa stayed healthy in his contract year, playing in 148 games in 2021. Despite a fifth-place finish in American League MVP voting, Correa had to "settle" for a three-year/$105.3 million deal with the Twins.

Corey Seager

Seager may be one of the five best hitters in baseball. The problem is that while he won the National League Rookie of the Year Award and a World Series MVP during parts of seven seasons with the Dodgers, he also spent his fair share of time on the injured list. However, the Rangers -- desperate to bring winning baseball signed him to a 10-year/$325 million deal in free agency.

Trevor Story

Trevor Story is still an exceptional defensive shortstop, racking up nine DRS in 2021. Red Sox, Trevor Story agree to deal, reportedly for six years, $140 million.

Marcus Semien

Yes, Semien is a few years older than Correa, Seager, or Story — he’s 31 — but it’s not like he’s at the end of his prime and looking for a short-term contract. The Rangers have reportedly agreed to a seven-year, $175 million contract with All-Star second baseman Marcus Semien

Javier Baez

Detroit Tigers shortstop Javier Baez put pen to paper Wednesday in Lakeland, Florida, following the completion of his medical exams. His six-year, $140 million contract is official.
