Rachel Balkovec

Rachel is a minor league hitting coach for the New York Yankees and has worked in professional baseball for 7 years. She is the first woman to be a full-time strength and conditioning coach and also the first woman to be a full-time hitting coach in the history of professional baseball. 

Alyssa Nakken

Nakken, hired to the Giants' coaching staff in January 2020, became the first woman to be named a coach on an MLB staff. A woman who created the history.

Bianca Smith

Bianca Smith landed a job as a minor league coach in the Boston Red Sox organization, becoming the first Black woman to coach professional baseball.

 

Katie Krall

 

Joining Epperson on his staff will be Katie Krall, the first female coach in Sea Dogs history. Krall will serve as the team's development coach. She spent some time working as a baseball operations analyst for the Cincinnati Reds. Krall also worked for the MLB Commissioner's Office and the Cape Cod Baseball League.
