‘Children in Ukraine Need Peace Now’ – Andy Murray Joins UNICEF’s Noble Act

The world is rallying behind the Ukraine situation ad so are the Tennis stars. Adding to the list of players is the UK star, Andy Murray. The 34-years old player is looking to get strong on the court. But before that, he has joined hands with UNICEF UK to help the unfortunate people of Ukraine.
In his recent post, Murray urged his fellow countrymen to help in channelizing the support, as UNICEF-UK is focusing on the well-being and development of Ukrainian children.

Andy Murray pledges to donate his prize money to UNICEF humanitarian act

As per the social post, Murray is donating his prize money to UNICEF-UK for developing the education system in Ukraine. He wrote, “It’s vital education continues, so UNICEF is working to enable access to learning for displaced children, as well as supporting the rehabilitation of damaged schools, together with replacement equipment and furniture.”

 Considering the necessity, he urged people to make donations; he would be donating his year-long prize money to the Noble act.

To make people aware of the situation, Andy Murray put forward some disturbing numbers of children affected by the current situation. He wrote, “Over 7.5m children are at risk with the escalating conflict in Ukraine, so I’m working with @UNICEF_uk to help provide urgent medical supplies and early childhood development kits”

He further wished peace in Ukraine, especially for children, 

Murray’s 2022 ATP schedule

Andy Murray, after recovering from hip surgery, entered competitive tennis arena.  However, after 2nd round exit from the 2022 Australian Open, Murray managed to make to the round of 16 in the next 3 ATP tours. But was defeated in straight sets on all 3 occasions by upcoming tennis players .

Felix Auger-Aliassime got better of former world no. 1 in Rotterdam, and Roberto Bautista Agut won in Qatar Open. Very recently Italian Jennik Sinner won his round of-16 match against Murray in Dubai Open.

Andy has wild card entry for Miami open, and he might well play in Indian Wells, the sunshine doubles.
