Throwback to Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 - A Rivalry that Never Ended

With McGregor winning the first fight and Poirier claiming his victory in the rematch, and later their trilogy face off at UFC 264 which ended up in a bitter way for McGregor breaking his ankle. From fight to rivalry, let's take a look at the series of the events that went through.

Intense Build Up

In a press conference for the UFC 264 main event McGregor launched a series of insults with name-calling and much more but, Dustin Poirier wrapped it up with a smile saying that McGregor was better than what he is now.

Fight Result

The intense bout between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor ended in an unexpected way as McGregor suffered a leg injury which led to a halt with Poirier taking a 2-1 lead in the series via TKO.


McGregor's Remarks


McGregor is known for his trash talks, in multiple press conferences he kept making derogatory remarks about Dustin Poirier's wife, Jolie.

Injured McGregor


Even after his leg injury McGregor didn't stop and kept yelling at Poirier saying that his wife is in his DMs. He was also yelling at Herb Dean and at cage-side officials. 

Rivalry Continues

McGregor and Poirier’s rivalry began seven years ago when they were 145ers and while the fight was supposed to end this rivalry, but McGregor said that it is not over yet.
