Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest stars currently signed with WWE. Dubbed as the ‘Baddest B***h in the World’, she is a role model for girls who seek independence and identity by defying social norms. Her story is one full of hardships and road bumps. But one thing that fans didn’t like about her was her attitude.

Whether it be WWE or UFC, the fans booed. While they respected her, Rousey was always the heel in the match, with the opponent being the underdog. And we all know how much people love an underdog. And the former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion played the part perfectly. But since her return to the squared circle, she has been humming a different tune.

In a rare interview with Daniel Cormier asks Rousey about her baby face return to WWE. Ronda replied, “I was expecting that! I came out with my guard up, and I think I didn’t get to enjoy that moment, because… that’s what I got on the way out. I blocked them out, and I didn’t let them in. And I just went in and did my job and got out, and I think I kind of missed out on really enjoying that moment because I was expecting the worst in people. And that’s how the WWE Universe gets you.

I know, and I was supposed to come back as a heel! Vince was like, well, they popped for her real big, so she’s baby face now. So I recorded a heel interview afterwards, and everyone was like, what the hell? The next Monday I’m like, okay I’m coming in as a heel, and they’re like, no…you need to smile. You need to stop being a b***h.

Ronda Rousey’s big return to WWE

Winning this year’s Royal Rumble, everyone expected Rousey to get her re-match with Becky Lynch. But she decided to subvert the expectations of fans and went for Charlotte Flair. This was a terrible decision, as neither the feud nor the match delivered what the fans were expecting. And the baby face turn hurt Ronda Rousey’s character.

Her promos were lacking her signature sassy nature, and WWE continuously booked her poorly. She even lost at WrestleMania, which drained any momentum from her return. The best feud since her return was with Natalya, and the match at Money in the Bank surprised a lot of fans. Many fans believe that Liv Morgan winning the title was the best thing for the championship and the women’s division.
