Being an athlete for Michael Jordan comes with many perks—one of those being endless access to his clothing brand, more importantly, the Air Jordan shoe lineup. In fact, rumors suggest that every Jordan athlete needs to wear sneakers around him. But there is one person who is exempt from that rule.
Bubba Wallace was featured in a recent interview with Complex Magazine, where he was also asked the age-old question every Jordan athlete gets, “There’s this rumor that you can’t really hang around MJ unless you’re wearing his sneakers or Nike. Is there any truth to that?”
“Well, he makes an exception for me. What’s he going to do? Kick me off the race team? If he wants to, then that’s his choice.”
Wallace admitted, “Oh yeah. I have to win a lot more races before I think about owning a race team. Owning a team is not in the cards right now.”
