NASCAR ovals and speedways have always been a lot more than just racetracks. This is the reason why some NASCAR fans are still recovering from the news of the Fontana Auto Club renovation. However, now, less than a month after the Auto Club announcement, another historic track is on its way to redevelopment.
As reported by Charlotte Business Journal, a Hendrick Motorsports-affiliated entity recently bought over 82 acres of land from the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Based on the information available, the land will be used by Rick Hendrick and his organization to develop two advanced manufacturing projects.
From aiding chassis production to an inbound IndyCar program fans have made their guesses on the use of the land.
