Two Hendrick Motorsport drivers, Chase Elliott, and Alex Bowman have not had the greatest of seasons, as they are on the verge of losing playoff spots.

Meanwhile, the 5-time NBA All-Star turned sports analyst recently talked about the performances of Elliott and Bowman, as he gave them an ultimatum.

Elliott and Bowman’s injury-filled season

Alex Bowman was leading the pack at the beginning of the season. However,  a fracture in his T-3 vertebrate in a Sprint Car race in April forced him to miss out on 3 Cup Series races this season. On the other hand, Elliott missed six races after fracturing his tibia in a snowboarding accident.

Can the HMS duo make it to the playoffs?

At the recent race at Crayon 301, Elliott and Bowman finished in 12th and 14th place, respectively. In terms of drivers' standings, Elliott is in 23rd place and Bowman is in 20th place. With a few races remaining in the regular season, Elliott and Bowman need just one win to grab the last 2 remaining spots in the playoffs.

5-time NBA All-Star sent an ultimatum to 2 HMS drivers

Brad Daugherty, former NBA All-Star recently said, “Those Hendrick Chevrolets have not performed up to par outside of William Byron, in the likes of you know Alex Bowman and Chase Elliott… those other two have not performed well at all, and it’s because of situations that involve extracurricular activities. So, there’s a lot of pressure on Alex Bowman and Chase Elliott to come to New Hampshire and perform.”
