After his wife, Amy Earnhardt shared a photo of the two of them online a day ago, fans couldn’t help but drool over their favorite pair. The picture of the NASCAR favorite with a mushy comment sent social media into meltdown mode, where fans said things like,

Previously, when asked about his family life, Earnhardt Jr. mentioned that he initially thought that his father was a bad parent because he was always busy racing. Later on, though, he came to appreciate everything that his father had done for him and all that he had taught him.

However, in 2001, following his father’s untimely death, Dale Jr.’s world came crashing down. Following in his father’s footsteps, he became the most well-known and adored NASCAR driver, but in 2010, he all but disappeared from the winner’s circle. Since 2008, he had been winless at NASCAR’s events.

In 2010 Dale Jr.’s driving was seen at its highest level in years. Earnhardt won a Nationwide Series race on July 2 that year, marking his first victory in years. Apparently, he had just begun dating his wife, Amy Reimann. The couple went public with their romance after 2 years, amidst the NASCAR Spring Cup ceremony.

According to The Washington Post, even the longtime opponent of the older Earnhardt, Darrell Waltrip, in 2014 said, “I think he’s real content right now. It’s not just in his racing life but in his personal life. His girlfriend [Amy Reimann] has had a big influence on him and really brought him out of that little boy shell he lived in.

One could say that Amy Earnhardt is the one who breathed new life into him. This goes to show that love and emotional support from loved ones are equally important. The couple has always had each other’s backs, come rain or shine, so it’s safe to say that they’ll be able to weather any storm that comes their way in the future as well.
