5 Times Danica Patrick’s On-Track Disaster Triggered Doubts About Her Driving Talent
NASCAR
Danica Patrick is undoubtedly one of the best female NASCAR drivers ever. She became the first female driver to win the Japan 300.
However, she has a pretty big crash percentage in the NASCAR Cup Series or Xfinity Series. We will take a look at 5 incidents that questioned her driving talent.
Patrick’s last race at the Indianapolis 500
Patrick’s last race ended in disappointment, as she lost control of her car and hit the outside wall. Notably, no car was close to her and she crashed into the wall all by herself. Certainly, not a great way to end her racing career.

Retaliation has gone wrong
Patrick tried to wreck Landon Cassill in 2012, as she was not happy with the way he was racing her. Hence, she tried to retaliate and ended up hitting the wall while trying to hit Cassill.
At Charlotte Motor Speedway, Patrick bumped into Brad Keselowski from behind after the restart, which caused a huge crash.

New Hampshire crash
In 2015, Patrick tried to overtake Ryan Newman in a corner. However, Newman could not go anywhere and she made slight contact with Patrick, which spun her. David Ragan had nowhere to go, as she crashed into Patrick’s car.

Crashing on the pit road
This is probably one of the most bizarre crashes, as Patrick crashed into Clint Bowyer on the pit road under caution in the 2014 Cup Series race. Bowyer had to fix his rear, as Patrick also suffered significant damage in her car.
