After Danica Patrick took her curtain call, the world of NASCAR was left out of female talent on the track. But the fans did not have to wait long, as Hailie Deegan made her debut in the Craftsman Truck Series back in 2021. She was praised after showing early promises and underpinning her talents.

But of late, it seems the driver is not running high on talent. Rather, her fellow Truck Series drivers would gladly accept that Deegan is a source of concern, because of wrecking other drivers. And if this does not suffice the fact, Lawless Alan can attest to the fact after the Truck Series race at Nashville.

Hailie Deegan started the season on a high note with her new team, Thor Sport. But it seems it was too early to be hopeful about the future, as the season so far has not only been up to the mark. In addition, fans seem to question their conviction in the driver’s talent. There have been endless instances to back it up, the recent being at Nashville Speedway, where Deegan wrecked into Lawless Alan.

The race at Nashville was impressive as Carson Hocevar notched his second career win. But it was nothing less than a nightmare for Alan, who had his fair share of wrecks with Hailie Deegan and was also caught in the run around lap-5 of the race. The truck sustained huge damages, although Alan’s pit crew members tried to mend it under Damaged Vehicle Policy. The driver had to retire from the race due to a tire issue in Lap 7.

Although Deegan was quick to acknowledge her fault and apologized, “I am sorry…I got loose,” Alan was more than furious about the incident. In an interview with Davey Segal, the driver vented his frustration. He exclaimed, “I don’t think there is much to say. She is talentless. She…just wrecked me. I just don’t understand what the move was about…it was not the first time she has wrecked me. She does it to fu**ing everybody.”

After Alan’s interview gained more views, a fan commented against the wrecked driver and commented under the post on Twitter, “OK, Mr. Zero Wins Zero Top Tens.”

But the fans were quick to defend and show their support for Lawless Alan and gave a befitting reply to the fan. Many commented as a response:

“4 top 10’s over 4 years isn’t anything to rave about.”

Another responded, “If I can count correctly the score is pretty much even. Talentless Alan has wrecked his fair share of people including Deegan a handful of times.”

Others also wrote, “When will the Deegan experiment end, it’s obviously not working.”

“First he looks like 12 year old who runs to mommy and daddy whenever he doesn’t get his way. Second the series is a joke! If you aren’t in the top 5 someone’s gonna wreck you. It’s not really racing it’s more like pinball.”

Although the Thor Sport driver was touted to Xfinity Series, with the recent incidents, the future of the driver does look bleak. While her teammates have been consistent performers and delivering top-10 finishes, Deegan has only one top-10 so far in the season. It is surely a test of talent for Deegan, in order to maintain her seat in the series.
