Amid Worrying Concerns for Tony Stewart Following Kevin Harvick’s Exit Row, Joe Gibbs Breathes a Sigh of Relief
NASCAR
Tony Stewart’s team, Stewart-Haas Racing will face a lot of trouble, as Kevin Harvick announced that this will be his last year with the team.
While Stewart is trying hard to find his replacement, another driver could be on his way out. Meanwhile, Joe Gibbs is breathing a sigh of relief after the latest news about his two drivers.
2 big blows for Tony Stewart
Veteran driver Kevin Harvick has announced that the 2023 season will be his final season. On the other hand, Aric Almirola returned to NASCAR after announcing retirement last year. Almirola is currently having a disappointing season; hence he could also step away from the team after this year. In that case, it would be a double blow for Stewart and his team.
Joe Gibbs will be a happy man
While Stewart is facing a big challenge, Joe Gibbs can relax at the moment, as both of his drivers, Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. are having a stellar season. Notably, both of them are 42 and have qualified for the playoffs this season. It seems like they have plenty of gas left in the tank. Moreover, one of them could win the championship this season.
As per reports, talented young driver Josh Berry will most likely replace Harvick in the #4 Mustang next year. On the other hand, if Almirola retires, Steward has to find another driver. Talented driver Zane Smith could become the next driver for TSR. On the other hand, there are plenty of rumors about former F1 driver Jenson Button becoming the next TSR driver. However, nothing is confirmed as of now.
