What is happening?


The NASCAR All-Star Race has been organized at Texas Motor Speedway for a couple of years now. It is no surprise that the community wanted the track to be changed. In fact, Chase Elliott and Bubba Wallace also wanted the change to happen. NASCAR has recently announced that the All-Star race, 2023 will be held at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

What did Bubba Wallace say?


Bubba Wallace who opened up about his dissatisfaction with the race being fixed in Texas. He said, “I think we should look at different avenues. I mean, it’s an All-Star Race; it shouldn’t be in the same spot every year.”

What does Chase Elliott think?


The 2020 Cup Series Champion Chase Elliott wanted the changes too. “I think that’s what that race was initially designed to do. To move around, and give fans in a different region a special event,” said Elliott. 

What makes North Wilkesboro Speedway so important?


North Wilkesboro carried a reputation as one of the fastest short-tracks in auto racing in the late 1940s and 1950s. Regardless of all the greatness, it was closed in 1996. Later, Dale Earnhardt Jr, in 2019, gathered a group to help clean, rebuild, and preserve the historic track forever.
