It all started with a cheeky jab at Hendrick Motorsports from 23XI Racing spotter, Freddie Kraft. Soon after it was announced that HMS’s points will be docked, he wrote on Twitter that his driver, Bubba Wallace, did not get the win, but he did bring in a solid points haul.
It prompted a harsh response from 2x NASCAR Whelen State Champion, Alex Papini. The former driver called Kraft a “Fat waste of c**,” which invited a frenzied retaliation.
Kraft’s salvo included a video clip of one of Papini’s races at the Rockford Speedway. During that race, he spun off and later on, crashed into a rival’s car during a caution period. Kraft delivered the knockout punch by declaring, “What an Idiot.”
“I assume you’ve never lost someone you care about to a racing ACCIDENT…consider yourself very lucky. And even though your comment says more about you than most probably care to get to know, I hope you never know that feeling.”
“Well, if knowing that feeling yourself didn’t teach you about compassion for your fellow man, then nothing I can say will. Unfortunately, sometimes, ya just gotta believe that people are who they are, when they show ya. Be better though.”
