Bubba Wallace Exposes the Biggest Problem With Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing Team

NASCAR

After a terrible race in Atlanta, 23 XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace had a top-10 finish in New Hampshire.

However, there seems to be some tension among the team, as Wallace showed his concerns about his pit crew and the mistakes, which proved to be costly for him.

Wallace talks about the mistakes

Speaking to Frontstretch, Wallace said, “Just execution. You know, we had a lot of Pit Roads last year that took us out and attended this wheels throughout the season… It’s just not making mistakes on that side of things, not making mistakes on my side… Understanding that before you get it was sort of dialed out because you think that it’s over and we will recover and then you go down a slippery slope on the mental side.”

Wallace’s eventful Atlanta race

Wallace failed the pre-race inspection twice before getting approval on the third attempt. Then, NASCAR ejected the car chief, Zachary Marquardt. In the race, he finished in 25th place. Notably, Wallace’s team announced that they will build their own in-house pit crew from the next season without taking help from the JGR team.

Wallace was furious after the Atlanta race

“Mistakes at this point in the season, there’s really no excuse for it, whether it’s my fault on track or the crew’s fault in preparation. We just have to be better as a team moving forward to even think about the playoffs… Seven races left (until the playoffs). We have the chance to do something great.”
