At this point, it’s not even news that Formula One world champion, Kimi Raikkonen, is entering a NASCAR Cup Series race. And it’s happening this weekend at Watkins Glen! But people still wonder how he’d perform, especially considering the differences between Formula One and NASCAR. And Bubba Wallace shared his two cents on his glamorous debut. In fact, he’s worried that he’ll wreck the F1 World Champion!
In a recent episode of Stacking Pennies with Corey Lajoie, the Spire Motorsports driver asked Bubba, “Do you think you can beat Kimi Raikkonen this weekend?” To which he replied, “I am excited to see how that’s gonna work out. Man! I’m pumped to race against him. I hope I don’t junk his a**.”
He explained, “Those guys rarely ever hit. They’ll swipe.” Although it will be a great story for Bubba Wallace to tell his kids and grandkids as LaJoie pointed out, “You can tell your grandkids ‘Hey, I wrecked the F1 World Champion.”
