In a recent interview, he talked about giving up certain things in life to become a NASCAR driver. Moreover, he talked about people judging him differently than others.

Wallace started the year in a horrible fashion, as he had plenty of crashing incidents and DNFs. He talked about being mentally down. However, his family helped him massively to get back into the game. Despite all that, he got into a recent controversy after a flipping-the-bird incident on live TV.

Speaking about his recent flipping-the-bird incident, Wallace said, “The finger’s become such a big thing when Bubba Wallace does it. But you have guys that get wrecked and they walk on the track and shoot one bird or shoot the double-bird, and we laugh about it and move on… But when Bubba Wallace does it, we gotta shut the whole state down, shut the whole series down, kick him out, suspend him… it’s complete BS.”
In a recent NASCAR short film called ‘Fox Sports Presents: Driver Pressure’, Wallace talked about making a sacrifice in his childhood. He said, “So different lifestyle that I was living first. Everybody else went to college, and I was just off in different states every weekend, you know, racing.”
