The current undisputed champion of NASCAR's road courses is Chase Elliott, who has won seven of the previous 16 Cup Series road races. With that said, let's look at Elliott's upcoming strategies and self-evaluation of his thus far performance.
Elliott talked about how he along with his team still needs to optimise every facet of a road-race configuration. “We haven’t been bad at the road courses this year, but we definitely haven’t gotten the car driving exactly like I want," he added.
Elliott said. “We obviously want to add to that," as he holds a 30-point advantage over Ross Chastain for the top spot heading into Road America with Ryan Blaney just 31 back of Elliott.
