Ross Chastain reminded everyone of his season-long, ‘Ross Chastain DGAF Tour’ once again during Stage 2 in Phoenix as he spun out Chase Elliott. Chastain had his bumper to Elliott in front and had a lot of momentum. And as the #9 driver seemed to have lifted, he ended up being spun by the relentless #1 behind him.
This led to his crew chief, Alan Gustafson, asking his driver if the car was okay, to which Elliott simply replied, “It’s killed, what the fu*k?” Elliott then asked his crew chief if he did something wrong, whether it was his mistake, to begin with. But Gustafson said, “These guys race that way.”
