Chase Elliott had a great 2022 NASCAR season. However, the Hendrick Motorsports driver could not register his second series win at Phoenix last Sunday. And it wouldn’t be wrong to point out that the entire Ross Chastain incident had something to do with it.
While talking about the incident on NASCAR with NBC, NASCAR driver Parker Kligerman discussed Elliott’s potential motivation behind his move. He said; “For Chase, I wonder if he replays that & thinks, ‘I probably would’ve just ward off in the corner and fought him off to the corner.
Moreover, Kligerman revealed his thoughts on what must be going on in Chase’s mind. He said; “They get dirty air and can’t get by him. I think this could potentially be some of the thought processes of like ‘I gotta keep this driving position. Which is why he made the move down the block.”
